Sew & Design
Xochitl’s journey with textiles began in middle school after her desire to alter personal clothes to fit correctly and look more of her own. Thrifting was a perfect way to experiment with personal design as well as source funky fabrics to create skirts or bags. She launched a tie dye business “XOXO Tie Dye”, and shortly after regularly began creating skirts from sheets, Pj sets from old blankets, and capes out of curtains. Xochitl proudly continues to upcycle 100% of her fabric sourced from thrift stores or eBay.
Goodwill Industrial at Freestyle Clothing Exchange has partnered with Coyote Creates to promote the ability to dress fashionably while being eco and financially friendly. In 2025, her galaxy cape won 1st place in Napa Geek Out Con, and in 2026, her designs will be walking the runway in Sonoma’s ‘Barbies & Bags’ and “Trashion Fashion Runway Show.”

Vaqueras Collection
A collection called “Vaqueras” 🤠👗Inspired by Folklorico attire and my love for riding horses. These outfits were designed with old scraps & jewelry.
My mini creations will be auctioned off to support @sonomacommunitycenter @trashionfashionsonoma next month.
⭐️ Saved from landfills where plastic dolls can take anywhere from 20 to 500 years to decompose, these once-forgotten Barbies and other 12-inch dolls are given a bold second life. Transformed by artists into imaginative works of recycled art, they come together in a vibrant gallery exhibition and silent auction that celebrates creativity, sustainability, and the joy of reinvention.
